Then I placed some frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the sauce. I sprinkled some shredded mozzarella and cheddar blend and some crumbled bacon on top of the tater tots.

I covered the baking dish with aluminum foil and placed it in the oven to bake for 35 minutes. After 35 minutes, I removed the foil and left the casserole to continue baking, uncovered for another 40 minutes.

I removed the casserole from the oven and left it to sit for a few minutes before slicing and serving. The crispy tater tots on top add great texture to this casserole.
