We hope to see you again soon! Beech Creek, Pennsylvania contributions 52 helpful votes. Perfectly Romantic! Honestly, the age of the place IS the charm for me.
I don't understand the reviews that post close-up pics of every paint chip or imperfection. Know that not everything is going to be perfect or look brand new, but it IS clean.
If this place were brand new, I doubt I would be able to afford to stay here! Where else can you even get a private heated pool and a log burning fireplace in your own suite??
I just love it. For me, it's all about the room layout--and primarily the placement of the fireplace. I want the fireplace IN the bedroom, and I believe the Garden of Eden Apple is possibly the only suite that accomplishes that.
In the other more expensive suites, the fireplace is always far removed, often on a different level in some odd sitting area, and does anybody really sit there and hang out?
I know we don't. We picked up a box of 6 Duraflame logs at Walmart and brought them with us, and we had a fire going almost constantly.
We loved all the lighting options in the room, especially the dimmer switches on the sconce lighting on the fireplace wall.
And we were in and out of the pool a million times in 2 days. It's a minor inconvenience and you will thank yourself for the effort every time you go to get back in it.
There is excellent ventilation in the pool area, so the heat will get sucked out of the pool just a little bit when the cover isn't on it. We actually never got in the heart shaped jacuzzi tub.
Just didn't get around to it--we preferred the pool. We got in the sauna one time. It's a bit of a tight squeeze to get in there! Also, their COVID safety measures were apparent and appreciated all throughout the resort--hand sanitizer stations everywhere.
I am going to add pictures of the bathroom, only because I had trouble trying to figure out what the bathroom looked like in this suite before we booked.
It was quite spacious with a double vanity, the toilet in it's own room which was also spacious. I didn't love the shower, but it is what it is.
There was a special little heater in the bathroom which made it so nice and cozy in there. And the mini fridge is in there, too.
It's a GOOD sized mini fridge and kept our drinks really cold! I thought it would be a bummer to not have a microwave, but honestly we didn't need it.
We knew that ahead of time, so we planned accordingly and didn't mess with leftovers that would need re-heated or anything. The first night, we had dinner at The PourHouse which was a quick and easy drive on a nice road.
That place was super awesome. But all other meals were eaten in the dining room at the resort, which was so nice and convenient.
The food was always good, and Loudgie I am so sorry if I butchered that spelling! I only wished they would have had a fire in the big fireplace during meals.
The lady at the front desk said "probably in a couple of weeks. Get that fireplace going! It's VERY important to the ambiance! It was cold and drizzly so we didn't check out the nature trail as I had hoped.
But it was still just a magical and romantic 2 days, and we will definitely be back! Date of stay: October Value.
Also NO windows, so uber private! We don't even know where to begin! We are absolutely floored you took the time out to let us know all about your experience in such great detail.
We would LOVE to have more feedback like this, simply because it truly tells a story about a guest experience at Cove Haven Resorts and it also gives us time to reflect on what we could tighten up a bit we know- you want that fireplace on sooner!
We're delighted your stay was absolutely amazing and we do look forward to the next time you visit us in the Land of Love! Sharon Z wrote a review Oct Baltimore, Maryland 6 contributions 1 helpful vote.
My husband and I had to make a lot of changes to our plans for our October 17th wedding, including our honeymoon location.
My parents honeymooned here 36 years ago and recommended it to us, the "cheesy Poconos resort with the champagne hot tub".
After reading reviews, I was a little leery, but there was no reason to be leery, it was so great! We stayed in the Champagne Towers.
We got to the room and there was a note that the room was freshly cleaned and you could tell that it had been. The remotes and phone headsets were in plastic bags after having been sanitized.
The champagne jacuzzi was sanitized and the heart-shaped pool was freshly cleaned. The room did have a fireplace smell, but that was to be suspected as there is a fireplace in the room and it's fall.
We loved the circular bed and the starlights above the bed and jacuzzi. If I had one suggestion it would be to update the bathroom so that the floor is tiled, not carpeted.
Next up, the dining room. We had the half board which included breakfast and dinner. Breakfasts were buffet-style and all you can eat, but was served by a staff member, keeping it sanitary.
There was a good selection, including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, eggs benedict, various pastries, and then they rotated through pancakes, french toast, and waffles each day.
There was also cereal, fruit and yogurt available. The wait staff for breakfast was very attentive to our drink needs, but Sean and Brett were our faves!
Dinners were a set menu which included two different soups, a salad, 5 entree options and 3 dessert options. Our favorite night was the Monday night seafood dinner, the cream of onion soup, stuffed flounder and seafood linguine were so good and my husband LOVED the warm brownie ala mode.
The other dinners were also very good, but that first night was our fave! Sean and Roger were amazing servers, Roger was our server twice and even remembered that my husband liked to have two entrees without us reminding him!
Now, onto the activities and the bar Cupid's Corner. The activities were fun, including trivia, piggy races, a balloon popping contest, and a scavenger hunt!
We know we are newlyweds who are suppose to "stay in our room" but after being in the house for 7 months during the pandemic, we enjoyed the interaction and fun so much!
After dinner, there was always music in the bar. The only downside is the PA Law that states that to be able to order alcohol, you have to order food.
After a 3 course meal, the last thing you want to have to do is order more food so that you can have another drink at the bar.

I don't object to the rule, but I do have a suggestion. I think that it would be amazing if the resort would come up with a small plates menu, maybe one slice of pizza, an order of fries, a cheese plate, a soft pretzel, a dessert, etc.
Having to order a big appetizer, sandwich or full pizza deterred us from wanting to order more drinks and hang out at the bar longer.
The music was really good! Overall, we had an amazing time! We look forward to our next trip to Paradise Stream! Details: 3 stars; note the film is explicit and contains scenes of self-harm; available to rent or buy on multiple platforms.
