I enjoyed Ewan and Charlie's long way round. I even accepted that there were very good reasons for the convoy of support crew including doctors, spares, logistics people because they were creating a film.
Somewhere Else Tomorrow is not so much about motorcycling, more about how western people live their lives. How may people could turn their back on all their home comforts and support network and head out into countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan with very little money?
This guy did and found it was not the dangerous place we are all warned about, but a world of human beings just like us but without the luxuries. When you set out with no money and work along the way with no safety net you ''let the universe decide your fate'' This fate is so much more remarkable that anything a tourist will find.

A truly wonderful composition of a magnificent journey. It's pace was perfect and the narration was excellent, even though it took me quite a while to figure out who the female's voice was Daniel is a remarkable guy, someone who is really getting out there.

Daniel didn't just take a trip, he lived a journey. He delved deep into the world around him, took his time, and didn't just "pass through".
Daniel didn't have a support crew, or a big budget, or anything really, just a dream and the strength to make it happen.
The mental and physical fortitude it took to do that is huge. The filming and narration were great and I thought it was very well put together. Nothing about this movie was bad in my opinion, and I hope we see the rest of the journey one day.

To do this trip and to make a great movie about it on your own is amazing. It is really difficult to appreciate how hard it is to make a video like this unless you have personally tried to do something like filming an adventure trip and making a short video about it.

There is a fair amount of German spoken, especially those clips from pre-trip and from the very beginning of the trip, however, you always know what is going on even if you don't know any German.
Daniel also captures parts of the world we don't get to see in western society. What an adventure! I am sure that I will watch it again.

I enjoyed several aspects of the film; the intimate and empathetic connection Daniel had to environment, people, and his motorbike was obviously a profound part of this experience and moved me.
There was an ascetic quality to Daniel that grew more pronounced during the movie, and during the mystical music segment in Pakistan I saw connections between the euphoric dancing and Daniel's state of mind.
Although Daniel obviously was relieved at company during the journey, I found myself wishing he remained solo, continuing the inward journey as he traveled on.
